Chris has been quietly making music alone at his kitchen table for the last several years. With encouragement from his friends, he has recently ventured out to play his original tunes at local open mics and coffee houses. Chris’s songs are fueled by melody and driven by character - from a couple stuck in a routine affair, to the wild cast of characters in a run down traveling circus, to a zombie bride from the swamplands of Florida. "LaVancher writes songs that tell stories of love among the ruins. In addition to writing his own songs, he plays them on a guitar he built himself.
